Michael Cohen delivered a scathing testimony to Congress yesterday, featuring several claims against President Trump. These include accusations of being a racist and a con man, as well as claims that Trump knew about the June 2016 meeting between Trump Jr. and members of the Russian government – which Trump previously claimed he knew nothing about.

Many Republicans believe Cohen’s statements should be taken with a grain of salt, as he has been sentenced to three years in prison on charges of lying to congress in a previous testimony and tax fraud. Cohen acknowledged this in his opening statement, claiming that Trump no longer holds any power over him.

Regardless, Chairman Elijah Cummings, who oversaw the hearing, believes that the American people should decide for themselves whether or not to trust Cohen.
